Damit uns der Schlaf im t\u00e4glichen Kampf gegen Krankheitserreger und vor allem gegen Viren tats\u00e4chlich sch\u00fctzt, sind sowohl die Schlafdauer von 7-8 Stunden als auch die Schlafqualit\u00e4t mit gen\u00fcgend Tief- und REM-(Traum)-Schlaf wichtig.<\/p>\n<p>Eine Studie der deutschen Universit\u00e4tskliniken T\u00fcbingen und L\u00fcbeck hat gezeigt, dass bereits drei Stunden Schlafentzug reichen, um die Funktion wichtiger Immunzellen signifikant zu reduzieren. Dabei handelt es sich um die f\u00fcr die Abwehrkr\u00e4fte wichtigen \u201eT-Zellen\u201c. Das Forscherteam um Dr. Luciana Besedovsky und Dr. Stoyan Dimitrov vom T\u00fcbinger Institut f\u00fcr Medizinische Psychologie und Verhaltensneurobiologie und Dr. Tanja Lange aus der L\u00fcbecker Klinik f\u00fcr Rheumatologie und klinische Immunologie konnte an Probanden zeigen, dass bereits nach drei Stunden ohne Schlaf die Funktion der sogenannten T-Zellen beeintr\u00e4chtigt war, der wei\u00dfen Blutzellen, die f\u00fcr die Bek\u00e4mpfung von Erregern zust\u00e4ndig sind.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"block-area stripe wpb_row default with-border vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"container clearfix\">\n\t<div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column column_container\" style=\"\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Die Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler f\u00fchrten mit Probanden ein 24-st\u00fcndiges Experiment durch: Eine Gruppe konnte nachts f\u00fcr acht Stunden schlafen, eine zweite Gruppe blieb \u00fcber den gesamten Zeitraum wach. W\u00e4hrend des Experiments wurde den Teilnehmern regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Blut abgenommen. Dabei \u00fcberpr\u00fcfte das Forschungsteam vor allem die Bindungsst\u00e4rke der T-Zellen an ein Molek\u00fcl namens ICAM-1 (intercellular adhesion molecule-1), das es ihnen erm\u00f6glicht, sich an andere Zellen anzuheften, durch die sogenannte Adh\u00e4sion. Wie die Studie zeigt, war die Adh\u00e4sionsf\u00e4higkeit der T-Zellen bei den Probanden ohne Schlaf signifikant reduziert. Dies f\u00fchrt zu einer messbaren Schw\u00e4chung der Abwehrkr\u00e4fte.<\/p>\n<p>Damit zeigt die Studie eindr\u00fccklich auf, dass Menschen mit einem durch ausreichenden und qualitativen Schlaf gest\u00e4rktes Immunsystem ein geringes Ansteckungsrisiko gegen Viren haben. Dies trifft auch auf die aktuelle Corona-Pandemie zu.
